Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival in Casablanca and transfer to Rabat.
Explore the city's highlights, including the grand Hassan II Mosque, the Kasbah of the Oudaias, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and Hassan 2 Tower. Overnight in Rabat.
Day 2
Rabat to Fes
Depart for Meknes, passing through Maamora's forest.Once in Meknes, visit the city that reached its pinnacle point thanks to Sultan Mulay Ismail. 27 km from Meknes, visit the ruins of Volubilis, a Roman city, and the Holy City of Moulay Idriss. Continue the road towards Fez where you spend the night.
Day 3
Fes City Tour
A full day dedicated to the discovery of the intellectual city of the kingdom. Visit a great number of monuments, including Medersas (Coranic Schools) such as Chahrij, Bouanania Attarin, souks, Fez El-Jedid, and the Mosque Karaouine (the first university in the world). Spend another night in Fez.
Day 4
Fes To Merzouga Desert
Depart from Fez to the Middle Atlas, visiting Ifrane, known as Africa's Switzerland. Next, head to Azrou 'the Rock,' a Berber village known for its wonderful crafts, carpets, and sculptures made of wood, then Midelt. Pass through Tizi Talghemt, or Neck of the Camel, 1,907 meters altitude, where the completely naked mountains are dressed in a purple coat. Arrive at Errachidia and then travel to Tafilalet and to Erfoud's palm grove, the gateway to the desert, where you spend the night.
Day
Merzouga Desert to Ouarzazat
Depart from Merzouga to Ouarzazate, passing through the palm grove of Rissani and Jorf placed on the right shore of the Oued Ziz. Then, visit the Ksar of Touroug fitted by spectacular oasis before going through Tinejdad and reaching Tinghir. Afterward, walk along the Todgha Groge, then go through the beautiful Boulmane Dades Valley, visiting Kelaa MeGouna (Roses Valley) in full bloom during May. Arrive at Ouarzazate, where you will have the possibility of visiting the Taourirt Kasbah that was the residence of the Pasha of Marrakech. Spend the night in Ouarzazate.
Day 6
Ouarzazat to Marrakech
Depart from Ouarzazate to Marrakech through Tiz-in-Tichka (2,260m), offering a spectacular panoramic view and lots of colors on the plain of the Haouz. Marrakech is the political, economical and cultural main metropolis, always dominating the history of the Maghrib. Spend the night in a hotel in Marrakech.
Day 7
Marrakech City Tour
Explore Marrakech's famous Plaza Jemaa el Fna, which for several centuries constitutes the most incredible popular theatre in the world: snake enchanters, musicians, dancers, storytellers, wizards, actors, fortune-tellers. Visit other monuments, including Medersa Ben Youssef, the Menara, the Museum of Dar Si Said, the Ben Youssef, the Garden of Agdal, the Tombs of the Saadianne and the Palaces of Badi and Bay.
Day 8
Departure
On your eighth day, it's time to prepare for your departure from Marrakech. Check out of your accommodation and head to the airport for your onward journey or next destination. Make sure to allow plenty of time for airport formalities. If you have any extra time before your flight, you can do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs or enjoy a final Moroccan meal in the city.
